Positive business performance and increasing demand for our Heizomat wood heating systems led to us acquiring the properties of the former Hahnenkamm barracks in Heidenheim (also in our home district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen) in 2005. With an area of 370 hectares, we have plenty of space and opportunities for the future. The halls first used in Heidenheim (Site II) were already too small after just a few months, so we commissioned an additional 200m x 33m production hall in autumn 2006.
In 2014 we reached the limit of production capacity in this building too. The hall was then extended by 150m. A year later, we celebrated the inauguration under the motto “Heizomat and Friends” – around 13,000 visitors flocked to the Open Day to find out more about our company. Site II employs around 120 people and manufactures fully automatic wood heaters and Heizohack chippers. We are particularly proud of our vertical integration of over 80%, and true to our motto goods do not just run off the production line; we still manufacture with our heart and soul. Heizomat products are genuine craftsmanship “Made in Germany”.
