Wood Heating for Private Homes
Everyone is talking about climate protection and renewable energies. Even for private existing properties and new builds, there are many opportunities to provide sustainable heating and protect the environment through renovations or innovative heating systems. With our Heizomat systems for private customers, we can meet this desire of many homeowners and builders.
Major advantage: our fuel comes from regional and sustainable production. Whether wood chips or pellet solutions – Heizomat provides heating in the home independently of fossil fuels. More and more single-family homeowners, including many young families, are choosing a Heizomat wood heating system.
The earlier we know about this wish, the better. This allows us to contribute our expertise in the early stages of house planning and coordinate with other trades. Wood heating in private homes – sustainable, from regional resources, and independent of energy price developments.

Nieder Family
Andreas Nieder wanted a wood chip heating system but didn’t want to give up existing space. With Heizomat, this wasn’t necessary. A bunker was built in a barn above his vehicle parking area. The chute delivers the material via a vertical screw conveyor into the bunker, from where it falls to the heating system in the adjacent room.
Details
- 50 kW Heizomat boiler
- Ground-level and coverable bunker filling
- Wood chip bunker in the attic
- Every space utilized thanks to custom Heizomat solution

Fischer Family
The Fischer family was used to heating with wood. What they weren’t used to was the convenience of a Heizomat system. Everyone works full time and no one tends the stove? Since switching to a wood chip heating system, this problem is a thing of the past.
Details
- 60 kW Heizomat boiler (2019 / old paint)
- Wood chip bunker in an outbuilding
- Consistent warmth without cooling down
- Comfortable heating without tedious wood handling

Bettschnitt Family
The Bettschnitt property includes 4 houses. The old heating systems needed replacement. A central heating system was installed for all buildings. The bunker is filled via a chute and vertical screw conveyor.
Details
- 60 kW Heizomat boiler
- Heating for 4 buildings with one system
- Buildings connected via a micro heat network
- Old oil heating replaced by new Heizomat system

Meyer Family
Reinhard Meyer owns a carpentry workshop next to his house. He wanted to use the workshop waste thermally. The boiler room and bunker are in the basement. The new heating system was installed there, with a filling system for transport into the basement.
Details
- 60 kW Heizomat boiler
- New installation in a tight existing basement
- 30-year-old heating replaced by Heizomat
- Workshop waste can be thermally utilized

Ritzer Family
When the Ritzer family considered heating their home in the Roth district, it was clear that heating should be via a sustainable and autonomous wood chip system. Together with Heizomat experts, the Ritzer family planned the optimal solution: a biomass boiler RHK-AK 30 was installed in the basement. It is “fed” with wood chips of classes A1, A2, and B1.
Possible alternative fuels include untreated disposable pallets. Thanks to the complementary Heizomat control technology with a simple menu, the Ritzers can operate their system remotely. The Heizoclean EF 185 completes the Heizomat package – this electrostatic separator charges dust particles in the exhaust gas, which then settle in the flue pipe.
Sauer Family
At the Sauer family home, an RHK-AK 50 provides hot water for both heating and domestic use. The biomass boiler has a heart-shaped combustion chamber, achieving very low emissions with optimal efficiency. The combustion chamber elements are made of high-refractory concrete, and the heat exchanger pipes clean themselves automatically. While the Heizomat system is located in a separate boiler room, the Sauer family set up a covered shed area in the garden for wood chip storage. A proven articulated arm developed by Heizomat helps transport the fuel to the boiler.
Schön Family
In the old wood barn of the Schön family, the new Heizomat wood chip heating system and its fuel bunker found a place, giving the old building a new sustainable use. A large three-story house is heated. Like many private customers, the Schöns chose the Heizomat RHK-AK 50 system combined with Heizocontrol ET 100. Fuel regulation via an ultrasonic sensor ensures optimal combustion, and the glow plug ignition quickly provides the required warmth. The Schöns value that Heizocontrol always provides full monitoring – from fill level to operating hours.
Uhl Family
Until 2019, the Uhl family heated conventionally with oil. During renovation of their existing property, they switched to the Heizomat RHK-AK 60 biomass boiler, which also heats the outbuildings. A patented ash chain allows flexible use of wood chips of classes A1 – B1. The Uhl family can comfortably manage buffer loading and heating circuits via Heizocontrol ET 100. With the Sm@rt-Server function and e-mail messenger, remote monitoring and control are also possible.

Once the trees have been felled, the raw material must be processed quickly. For optimal value, this also applies to small wood, tree tops and wood waste.
