Dittenheim Local Heating Cooperative

6,600m of heated pipes, 98 connection points, 26 additions planned, 103,000 liters of buffer capacity and two Heizomat RHK-AK boilers with 400 and 500kW output. These are the figures for the local heating supply in Dittenheim.
The village has 1,800 inhabitants and is located in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in central Franconia. Initial planning for a cooperative local heating network got under way in 2014. This came into operation in January 2016 and since then has been supplying almost all of Dittenheim with sustainable heat from wood chips and biogas.

Grienberger Energie

Roland Grienberger is delighted when he drives through Pollenfeld and doesn't see a single smoking chimney. That’s because he operates a biogas plant and a Heizomat RHK-AK 500 wood chip boiler.
This supplies 53 households in the Bavarian village of Pollenfeld with heat through a local heating network. Grienberger has shifted from being a traditional farmer to an energy supplier and we are proud that our products are a part of this.

Dornhausen local heating network

The planning team launched the local heating supply project in 2014 under the motto #TURNINGDORNHAUSENGREEN. They spent hours racking their brains trying to find the optimal heating system.
A mixture of biogas heat and wood chips was ultimately the most economical solution, and Dornhausen finally turned “GREEN” when we sent the first green RHK-AK 500 to the flagship village in central Franconia.

Wecker local heating

The heating network from Martin Wecker from Merching is a true asset for the local Merching community, the connection points and the environment. The heating network focuses on sustainability, environmentally friendly energy and optimal energy efficiency being heated with the popular Heizomat RHK-AK 200.

Dürrenzimmern local heating network

While the pipes for the Nord Stream gas pipeline were being laid in the Baltic Sea, a completely different idea was doing the rounds in Dürrenzimmern, a district of Nördlingen. Dürrenzimmern wanted to have CO2-neutral heating with wood chips, preferably as a heating network for the entire village.
The idea turned into a project that started in 2013 with the installation of two Heizomat RHK-AK 400s, making it one of the first heating networks in Germany based purely on wood chips.

The Maicha site
Around 130 qualified employees manufacture our Heizomat wood chip and biomass heating systems and wood chipper machines in our main site in Maicha, Bavaria.
