Wood Heating Systems for Agriculture

The first step was building a biogas plant. Here, in addition to electricity, waste heat was sold. This laid the foundation for local heating. As demand grew, a wood chip heating system became necessary. Peter Veh subsequently purchased his first Heizomat wood chipper and now operates 4 local heating networks.

After harvest, hops must be dried quickly and thoroughly to ensure high quality. The old drying system consumed a lot of money, especially with rising heating oil prices. Wood chips provided an effective solution. Heating with Heizomat has been used in the private home since 1997.

The Dasenstein winemaking cellar mainly produces red wine. For a clean fermentation process, the must needs a rapid temperature increase. Sustainability planning and rising gas prices brought our wood chip boiler into play.

On the Wittmann farm, two large, interconnected residential and utility buildings are heated sustainably and environmentally friendly with a Heizomat biomass boiler, type RHK-AK 50. It can be flexibly installed in various room configurations and is a reliable "workhorse" for naturally generated heat and energy. The selected model is popular among agricultural, forestry, and private customers. The Wittmanns use a vertical screw to fill the bunker with wood chips, the most convenient way to load elevated storage.

In a barn of the former Oettinger farm in Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen, the fuel storage holds up to 70 m³ of wood chips next to the heating system RHK-AK 30. Using a Heizomat horizontal extraction system, the material is conveyed directly to the boiler.

The chain conveyor keeps the discharge system horizontal, maximizing bunker volume and ensuring gentle operation of the milling arms. Notable is the Heizoclean EF 185 filter system, TÜV-certified and compliant with latest environmental standards. Innovative: current and voltage automatically adjust to dust load.

The modernized Romanyk family home shines bright red and powerful in a suburb of Wassertrüdingen. The biomass heating system RHK-AK 30 from Heizomat, located in an adjacent storage and garage building, supplies energy to the entire complex. Wood chips from the bunker are quickly conveyed to the boiler via a chain extraction system. This component was developed by Heizomat, based on 30+ years of experience with fully automated wood chip systems. From the start, the Romanyk family opted for a complete Heizomat solution, including the Heizocontrol ET 100 (Home Edition) control system and the electrostatic particle filter Heizoclean EF 185.
