Crane-Fed Wood Chipper

Crane-fed HEIZOHACK wood chippers are powerful professional machines designed for contractors and cooperatives.

With HEIZOHACK wood chippers, all types of wood waste such as slats, offcuts, logs, slabs, pruning material, and entire tree trunks with a diameter of up to approx. 80 cm can be chipped with low power requirements. A powerful feed system using a steel chain conveyor and a pressure roller with welded gripping teeth ensures reliable material intake. All functions of the crane-fed wood chipper can be hydraulically controlled.

Heizohack Crane-Fed Wood Chippers

All Heizohack wood chippers offer numerous advantages:

  • All HEIZOHACK wood chippers with chassis are approved for road use in Germany.
  • Evenly distributed blades on the chipper rotor ensure smooth operation and reduced machine load.
  • Excellent wood chip quality through the use of special screens.
  • Simple operation. Easy handling. Easy adjustment of feed speed.
  • No overload of the drive unit and protection of the wood chipper thanks to anti-stress feed control.
  • Low-maintenance, powerful, low fuel consumption, high-quality wood chips
  • Autonomous hydraulic system with self-contained oil supply.
  • Hydraulically driven feed chain conveyor and upper feed roller.
  • Aggressive feed thanks to a steel chain conveyor and a large upper feed roller with high dead weight.
  • Optional feed chain conveyor in the feed hopper.
  • Infinitely height-adjustable discharge tower, hydraulically adjustable.

Highlights

Rotor cover for screen

Increases the screen surface area

Rotor cover for screen

On some crane-fed wood chippers, the screen surface area can be increased by installing a rotor cover for an additional screen. This improves both the quantity and quality of the wood chips.

Counter blade

Counter blade for crane-fed wood chippers

Counter blade

Depending on the model, crane-fed wood chippers can be equipped with either a one-piece or a multi-part counter blade.

The insert plates of the multi-part counter blade are available in tool steel or carbide versions.

Camera system

Camera system for crane-fed wood chippers

Camera system

A camera system with monitor is available for all crane-fed wood chippers. A camera at the discharge tower and/or a rear-view camera behind the wood chipper can be selected.

Telescopic discharge chute

Telescopic discharge chute

On some crane-fed wood chippers, a telescopic discharge chute can be installed. Hydraulically operated, the discharge tower can be extended by 700 mm.

Cyclone

Cyclone for crane-fed wood chippers

Cyclone

On some crane-fed wood chippers, a cyclone can be installed at the end of the discharge tower. This significantly reduces dust emissions during the chip discharge process.

Biodegradable hydraulic oil

Biodegradable hydraulic oil for all wood chippers

Biodegradable hydraulic oil

The hydraulic system of all wood chippers can also be filled with biodegradable hydraulic oil.

Central lubrication system

Central lubrication system for automated machine lubrication

Central lubrication system

The central lubrication system automates the lubrication of the wood chipper and, in some cases, the mounted loading crane. A central lubrication system can be installed on all crane-fed wood chippers.

Foot pedals

Foot pedals for all crane-fed wood chippers

Foot pedals

Depending on the application, foot pedals can be useful when operating a crane-fed wood chipper. Foot pedals can be used on almost all crane-fed wood chippers.

The foot pedal for reversing the feed direction allows quick reversal of the infeed. When activated, the material is pushed back out of the machine.

The foot pedal for operating the upper feed roller allows the roller to be lifted and also lowered under pressure.

ISOBUS

Power supply for crane-fed wood chippers

ISOBUS

The power supply of a crane-fed wood chipper can also be provided via an ISOBUS system.

Cone splitter – 1- and 3-motor versions

1- and 3-motor cone splitters

Cone splitter – 1- and 3-motor versions

The 1-motor cone splitters are designed for mounting on single-axle chassis. This allows even smaller crane-fed Heizohack wood chippers to leave the job site completely cleared. The 3-motor cone splitters can be mounted on drum chippers with tandem chassis and on truck-mounted wood chippers.

Cone splitter – 1-motor

  • Drive: 1 motor
  • Cone diameter: 245 mm
  • Weight: 161 kg
  • Oil flow rate: 50–100 l/min
  • Oil pressure: 180–210 bar

Cone splitter – 3-motor

  • Drive: 3 motors
  • Cone diameter: 370 mm
  • Weight: 350 kg
  • Oil flow rate: 100–200 l/min
  • Oil pressure: 200–240 bar

Cone splitter only in combination with tandem chassis 40/60 km/h with drawbar for crane mounting or HM 14-800 KL / HM 14-860 KL.
